The SCS Account Application Form Gets an Upgrade!

New enhancements available on August 5, 2024.

On Monday, August 5, 2024, Computing Facilities launched an updated version of the SCS account application form. It can be accessed as usual via the Computing Facilities site at: https://computing.cs.cmu.edu/accounts-access/forms/scs-account. 

What's changed?

While the general functionality remains similar to the previous form, there are several key improvements:

1. Multiple Applicants: We’ve added a batch upload file that supports requests for multiple applicants with the same sponsor and account type.
2. Automated Approval Workflow: Sponsors will receive an automated email to review and approve application requests. More information can be found at: https://computing.cs.cmu.edu/accounts-access/sponsor-approval. 
3. Pre-filled Fields: Requestor information (like name, Andrew ID and email address) will be pre-filled for a simplified user experience.
